Samenvatting
A summary of the state of the art about the development of mathematical models used in traffic safety research is presented. Computer models are very helpful instruments, they are however models, representations of reality, composed on the base of perceptions, extrapolations and sometimes speculations. Mathematical models MADYMO and VEDYAC are described briefly.
