Samenvatting
To investigate blast injury phenomenon, a series of 30 tests was conducted on an instrumented anthropomorphic test dummy with and without protective clothing. The results indicate that rapid head and chest movement following the blast wave can cause significant accelerations. Reduction of these potentially injurious accelerations can be realized through the use of proper protective equipment.
