Samenvatting
In order to record the influence of the tires under actual driving conditions, a test vehicle has been developed which is capable of measuring the tyre rolling resistance in a wide speed range and for any suspension geometry. It uses the freewheeling rear wheels of a front wheel drive vehicle to determine the forces. The influence of ambient and tyre temperature is accounted for by means of a special measuring and evaluation method.
