Samenvatting

This paper presents the outline and reports test results regarding the measurements of traffic flow by the "AR Sensor". The AR sensor consists of the AR camera and an image-processing unit. The AR camera consists of lens, the artificial retina LSI (AR chip), and microprocessor. The AR chip is CMOS Monochrome image sensor with 128x128-pixel which is developed by Mitsubishi Electronic Corporation. This chip has functions of both image processing and analog adjustment such as a frame rate, etc. Commercialization of the AR sensor seems possible because a definite outlook to resolve the occupancy rate problem is foreseen in this test. It was confirmed that the AR sensor has capability of equivalent to the supersonic wave sensor. (A*)
