Experimental data representing real-world vehicle emissions are of profound importance as the backbone of exhaust models. As a rule, such models are based on results from laboratory measurements. Data on exhaust emissions and fuel consumption of passenger cars in realistic traffic conditions are reported. Measurements were performed at constant speeds between 30 km/h and 100 km/h with on board measuring apparatus. The agreement of the results with corresponding laboratory data from chassis dynamometer measurements is discussed. The measurement and evaluation methods described are well suited for validation of current emission models.
