Samenvatting
This paper indicates problems relating to the engineering adaptations of the immediate and remote environment of motor vehicle drivers which are necessary so as to fit conditions to man's need for the ideals of safety, convenience, pleasure and skill. Engineers must go as far as is reasonable in relation to the purposes and economics of road transport. The rest is with man himself who has the capacity of being the ideal biological machine but in his average, state he performs too often as an incompetent fool. Therefore the sciences and technologies of engineering and biology must be linked because both in automobile industry and in medicine there is much to learn from each other.
