Samenvatting

In the Medical-Psychological Assessment (MPA), the cooperation developed between the assessor and the client is of central importance for the validity of the assessment's findings. Different hypotheses have been put forward about the factors which affect the level of a client's compliance in the diagnostic interview, however these have not yet been tested. A method to reliably measure the processes of cooperation in a diagnostic interview is still to be laid out. This study analyzed these processes by means of statistical survey, with the aim of defining criteria for evaluating cooperation levels. The results of the study show that the level of client cooperation can be given an empirical value with the help of a simple rating scale. This would increase the usability and validity of the qualitative findings of the psychological interview in the MPA and enhance the objectivity of the traffic psychological prognosis.
