Samenvatting
After an introduction on mid-term planning of highways, several aspects related to road maintenance (e.g. traffic increase, standards, increase of the network of roads, raw materials and maintenance techniques) are discussed. It is stressed by the author that construction of new highways can only be executed when the maintenance of the existing highways is financially safeguarded. Conclusions are drawn.
