Alternative approaches to the architectural, transportation, and attitudinal barriers confronting handicapped individuals, particularly with respects to public buildings, public transportation, and residential and institutional housing are investigated and examined. Measures which must be taken by the government, local authorities etc. to eliminate these barriers are mentioned.
