Samenvatting
In order to develop a tool for evaluating the detrimental effect of exposure of trees to choride and sodium ions from de-icing materials, a study of the levels of chemical ions also found in plant tissue is made. The relationship of the ion levels to tree health is expressed by the found index. This method of evaluation can be assessed the effect of walt on the general health of roadside trees.
