Samenvatting
An investigation has been made of the feasibility of estimating travel speeds of passenger cars under normal conditions on a single carriageway with light traffic densities. The equation for average travel time set up contains terms for a carriageway component, and corrections for the presence of shoulders, horizontal curves, traffic flow and time trend. Promising results have been obtained so far; these are tabulated and presented in diagrams. Work is to be continued.
