Samenvatting
In the framework of the projects of signalization on motorways a method to analyse accidents is worked out. The objective, the analysis of accidents for the motivation of signalization systems, has been of considerable influence on the structure of the method. After the theoretical basis for the analysis has been laid, the method was applied to some 4000 accidents that occurred in the years 1970, 1971 and 1972. Some of the results are presented as an illustration of the method.
