Mieroprocessors and their applications.

Since the introduction of computers there has been a trend for the physical size of electronic equipment to reduce, first with the introduction of transistors, then integrated circuits and then large scale integrated circuits. This article attempts to explain ''state of the art'' of microprocessors and to suggest some areas where they could be employed in on-line control situations.
