Samenvatting

The purpose of this paper was to ketch a conceptual frame-work which can be applied in empirical psychological research, and which is neither mentalistic nor behaviouristic. The approach has been labelled "ecological," since it sees the living being as an organism / environment process. The mind is seen as a system of meaning structures by means of which the organism is in cognitive contact with the environment.
