Samenvatting
This article describes tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) on the performance of bumpers on mini and microcars. The vehicles were evaluated according to a new ratings protocol for low speed tests that better represents the damage assessed by insurance claims centers. The article discusses the new ratings system and how vehicles are rated, styling designs, and costs associated with repairs and replacements.
