Samenvatting
The main objective of the METAFORA project was to test in actual operating conditions the applicability to small and medium size enterprises, of certain advanced telematic technologies: Mobile Data Communications (MDC), Tracing of unaccompanied unit loads, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). Although these technologies have been commercially available for quite some time their successful integration into a company's operations depends on a variety of technological, business and human factors that tend to be company or country specific.
