Samenvatting
The transport policy of the Dutch government is partly based on forecasts from late eighties. This paper focuses on the actuality of these estimations. Recent demographic analysis on national and regional scale leads to estimations that differ strongly from the former ones. Mobility might rise another 15% on top of the estimated 30%. This leads to the conclusion that the government is facing an even greater challenge.
