Samenvatting

This paper describes how there has been considerable interest in the effort of governmental institutions in Jordan over the last few years to improve the conditions of handicapped persons. However, one area that still needs considerable improvement is that of mobility. This paper concentrates on one segment of the transportation for the handicapped in Jordan, namely the physically handicapped. It discusses major public policy questions affecting the mobility of this group that should be considered by government in illustrating what could be done in developing countries.
