Modelling of complex vehicle systems.

For the dynamical analysis and simulation of all kind of vehicles the method of multibody systems is well qualified. The increasing demands on the accuracy of mechanical models of vehicles results in more complex multibody systems requiring advanced formalisms and approaches. In this paper the state of the art in the dynamics of multibody systems will be summarized.
