Samenvatting

This paper reviews the various type of model of the driving task that have been created over the years. It distinguishes models that are purely descriptive from those that are predictive and seeks to identify elements in the various models that can be used to predict momentary risk. A structured model that can be used in real time, for example by a driver assistance system, to predict such momentary risk is proposed and mechanisms for collecting the required data (also in real time) are suggested.
