Samenvatting

In 1990, 36 test persons were required to drive along a test route under daylight conditions. The route had a length os 87 km (54 miles) and included all types of streets. They were instructed to drive as usual which meant not to drive very fast or in an unusual manner. Criteria to be registered were eye movements by a portable electroocculogram (EOG) heartbeat rate and driving speed. In 1993, the same test was repeated with another group of test persons under nighttime conditions. At this time the test persons had to be at least 50 years old. The results of this test are discussed. (Author/publisher)
