Samenvatting
A review is given of the research which has been carried out on accidents in the dark with particular reference to the circumstances and situations in which the accidents occur. Comparisons are made between accidents in the dark and daylight, and factors which strengthen the unfavourable influence of darkness on traffic safety are discussed.
