Samenvatting

This paper discusses methods of persuading drivers with alcohol problems to accept a programme of rehabilitation. Six different modules of interaction are briefly discussed. The modules chiefly utilise the effect of unspecified therapy factors which are designed to activate the client's resources. Among other things counsellors are recommended to have a positive attitude from the start, avoid confrontation, talk at the client's level and concentrate on solutions rather than problems.
