Motor cycle safety : accident survey and rider injuries.

A survey was made of the motorcycle accidents which occurred in 1974 in an area of berkshire and buckinghamshire. Data concerning the riders, the types of motorcycle involved, and the accident situations are presented. The causes, severity and pattern of the injuries are analysed and the damage to safety helmets is assessed. Recommendations for further study are included.
