This paper provides an overview on Chinese motor gasoline properties in terms of lead content, octane level, hydrocarbon composition, and volatility at present, and its possible changes in future by the year 2000. Some characteristic features of Chinese motor gasoline are also described in connection with vehicle exhaust emissions. (A)
