This is a compilation of executive summaries of motor truck safety research sponsored by the Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association of the U.S. since 1976. The summaries MVMA hopes the findings presented in this booklet contribute to a better understanding of the factors that cause or contribute to accidents involving trucks; for it is only through the careful, accurate identification of these factors that effective, feasible countermeasures can be developed.
