Samenvatting
The objectives of this paper are to outline the history of motor vehicle accident studies, assess the present state-of-the-art, and discuss present problems with emphasis on data collection methods and techniques of data and injury analysis. The studies deal with the epidemiology and causes of accidents, injury patterns attributable to given components of the car and component failures contributing to the accident or injuries.
