Motor vehicle traffic restraints in central Copenhagen.

A description is given of the pedestrianization of Copenhagen. First it aroused strong opposition among shopkeepers and car owners, but later this opposition stopped. There is a growing tendency to stress the importance of environmental even at the expense of motor traffic accessibility.
