Das konventionelle Motorrad hat bezüglich Aerodynamik von allen Fahrzeugarten wohl das grösste Verbesserungspotential. Mit Front-Vollschalenverkleidung, vorzugsweise in Monocoque-Composite, einer Staffelung von Aufsassen und Triebwerk sowie mit diversen Massnahmen betreffend Um- und Durchströmung könnten Nutzeffekt, Strassenlage, Fahrverhalten und Sicherheit stark verbessert werden. Der Verfasser möchte nicht doktrinär Details vorschreiben, sondern Anregungen anschliessen mit einem Resümee von Sketches der insbesondere in England verbreiteten "Feet-forward-motorcycle"-Bewegung, welche angenähert die Auffassungen der Autoren über eine wünschenswerte Evolution des motorisierten Zweirades wiedergeben. English abstract: Aerodynamics of conventional motorcycles - in comparison to other vehicle categories - have the greater potential for improvement. Efficiency, handling, road holding, and safety could be clearly improved by fairings, preferably of monocoque-composite structure, enclosing at least the front part of the vehicle, and by an in-line-arrangement of rider(s) versus engine in order to reduce the cross-section-area allowing for better streamlining. The author has no intention to prescribe detailed solution but wishes to point out new possibilities as well as those already existing, e.g., "dustbin-fairings", cabin-motorcycles, and "feet-forward-ideas" by a pictorial presentation, reflecting approximately his own view of desirable motorcycle developments.
