Samenvatting
One of the items of the Dutch Multi-Year Programme for Traffic and Transport 1980-1984 is to promote cycle traffic outside built-up areas by creating special cycling facilities and to study the results. For this reason a special cycling facility was constructed near the route Elst-Arnhem. This report describes the experience after the measures were taken. The effect on the safety and the comfort of the route was positive. Cyclists and moped riders felt safe and recreational cycling increased.
