Samenvatting
This paper describes a control strategy for road traffic, a pilot study to test the strategy, and its application to an area traffic control system for Tokyo. In the pilot study which employed a small digital computer, the control logics corresponding to several control criteria were tested, and experiments were conducted on the on-line feedback control of offset.
