Samenvatting

There is a political wish to move more transport of both passenger and freight from the use of individual cars and over to public transport methods. Travel planners are considered to be means for supporting such a shift. A travel planner is dependent of both static and dynamic information. A method is described for determining the requirement for information coveringuniversal design of terminals, and then collecting the information itself. The motivation is an on-going work in Norway to establish a national terminal register. This terminal register can serve as provider of basis information for travel planners. Along with this, universal design in general is gaining more and more attention in Norway. There is a political wish todesign and develop also the transport services according to guidelines for universal design. The case in the real world is that some terminals are built in accordance with these guidelines, while most terminals are old, and therefore not built according to these guidelines. If a disabled personplans a journey, information covering the status of the universal design and accessibility of the terminals involved in the possible journey is important. This type of information would normally also be of interest for others e.g. people with young children or people with a lot of luggage. A possible method to design, collect and prioritize such information is described. In the work, close cooperation with the representatives for the different types of users is important. Document studies, interviews and field studies are used as data collection methods. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
