Samenvatting

Dynamic Route Guidance systems recommend to drivers the "optimum" itineraries to go on, taking into account current and forecast traffic conditions. The multirouteing concept (recommending several paths for a given origin-destination pair) is solved either by controlling the ratio of drivers on different routes (proportional routeing) or by computing routes according to different criteria (multicriteria routeing). Practical implementations are proposed. Recent multirouteing algorithms and strategies are presented (depending on the model, the information, the criterion and the time scale), as well as their impacts on the traffic.
