The Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association of the United States believes that safety inspection programs are an integral element of any balanced national or state program for improving highway safety. Therefore the MVMA endorses the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) program of reciprocal recognition of inspections performed in different jurisdictions using the Minimum Equipment Inspection System.
