Samenvatting
In some recent Dutch Policy Reports the development of combined transport is advocated. This line of policy is not new, but the time seems ripe for increased attention to this particular form of freight transport. Congestion on the road network, problems crossing the Alps, environmental considerations are the main arguments in this. In this article the potential developments of the market for combined transport are explored with an emphasis on transport to and from The Netherlands.
