Samenvatting

The models of national architectures of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) were developed by interconnection of relevant technical systems taken as symbols of architectural functionality. The man and his behavior were not introduced into the models, resulting in structures having weak and negligible synergetic features produced by informational interactions. Introducing the general systems methodology, it was found that nearly all subsystems of the national ITS should be identified as technological systems with the man in their structures. Most of them originate from national technological infrastructure that has strong and desirable synergetic features, by itself. With the man in the structures the informational synergy becomes the most significant effect from the point of view of feasibility evaluation of ITS projects based on the related national technological infrastructure.
