A national collision data collection system.

The currently used system of the National Highway and Injury Analysis is organized as tri-level: basic level-police investigation and reporting; intermediate level- a team approach; and third level-multi-disciplinary teams. It is pointed out that the diversity of report forms, data acquisition, and data processing mitigate against valid statistical analysis.
