National Cooperative Highway Research Program for the period January 1 through July 31, 1997.

This document is issued twice a year, and the current edition covers the period January 1 through June 30, 1997. Each issue has two purposes. The first is to present progress reports prepared by th NCHRP staff for each research project that was under contract during the report period. These convey the staff's perspective of how well each project is progressing, of the probability of success, of the nature of corrective measures being taken in problem situations, and of the availibility of project reports. The second purpose is to provide key information for fiscal year programs still in the developmental process. (A)
