Ergebnisse der Bundes- und Landesaemter fuer Statistik geben einen Ueberblick ueber die Unfallsituation in Deutschland mit der Einschraenkung, dass sie sich nur auf die Unfallerhebungen der Polizei stuetzen koennen. Das Institut fuer Fahrzeugsicherheit im Gesamtverband der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft (GDV) ermittelt seine Unfalldaten seit ueber 20 Jahren aus den Unfallakten der Versicherer und kann somit ueber eine groessere Anzahl von Einzelheiten zum Unfall tiefer in das Unfallgeschehen eindringen. Im Jahr 2000 startete die neueste Analyse von Motorradunfaellen. Die Ergebnisse von 502 Unfaellen werden praesentiert. Die Unfaelle datieren aus den Jahren 1998 bis 2001 und erfassen sowohl Kollisionen mit Pkw, als auch allen anderen Verkehrsteilnehmern sowie Alleinunfaelle. Der Schwerpunkt der Untersuchung lag dabei auf der Problematik der aktiven Sicherheit und der Einflussmoeglichkeit der Bremsanlage und des Bremsvermoegens von Fahrzeug und Fahrer. Es lassen sich Schwerpunkte erkennen, bei denen die Art der Bremsung zu erhoehter Verletzungsgefahr durch Stuerze fuehrt und es laesst sich nachweisen, dass heutige Bremsanlagen ohne Kombibremse und automatischen Blockier-Verhinderer den Motorradfahrer in Unfallsituationen benachteiligen. (Author/publisher) Abstract in English: Statistics of the federal and local authorities provide a survey of the accident situation in Germany with the restriction, however, that they only rely on accident data collected by the police. For more than 20 years the Institute for Vehicle Safety in the German Insurance Association (Institut fuer Fahrzeugsicherheit in the GDV) in Munich has been collecting accident data from official accident files of the insurance companies and by the resulting higher number of accident details is able to go deeper into the accident events. In the year 2000 the latest analysis of motorcycle accidents on this basis was begun and the study on hand will present the results of 502 accidents. The accidents date back to the years 1998 - 2001 and run from collisions with cars - and all other road users - to single vehicle accidents. The main focus of the study was on difficulties in active safety and on possible influences of riders' braking abilities and the braking systems of vehicles. There are accident patterns in which the way of braking leads to an increased accident risk and it has been proved that today's brake systems without CBS (Combined Brake Systems) and ASS (Anti Skid-Systems) causes disadvantages for motorcycle riders.
