This original method, inspired from the CIE Publication No.19, is based on maintaining visibility thresholds all along the tunnel, from a determined reference situation, taking into account the interfering veiling luminances measured on the site. The authors quantify the gain resulting from and allowed by contrast mobilization systems in relation to the selection of the reference luminance.
