Samenvatting

Earlier infrared measuring devices with several wavelengths in the 3.4 um range were used but such devices could not eliminate all errors by the influence of contents of the breath other than alcohol. By moving to another absorbing wavelength of 9.5 um it is possible to reduce the influence of most of the infrared active compounds without any complicated correction.
