Non-motorway analysis of tyre failures.

Some 630 incidents reported by the Automobile Association on roads other than motorways which involved tyre failures (deflation, under inflation, or mechanical collapse) have been analysed. The results of this small survey and some estimates of the proportions of the various types of tyre in use on the roads are combined to give the conclusions mentioned in this report.
