Samenvatting
The transient behaviour of an urban transportation network is discussed. In many instances the steady-state solutions to mode-or route-split can not predict important consequences of disturbances on the network. Nonlinear effects of the demand levels on the levels of service are incorporated. The predictive ability of the present model seems to be largest where large fluctuations in cost variations are expected.
