The high level of crashworthiness of child restraining devices (CRDs) do not necessarily transfer from the laboratory to the family automobile.The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency of misuse in the ways CRDs were installed in vehicles, identify types of errors, and suggest what the causes ccand remedies might be.
