The purpose of this notice is to propose a motor vehicle safety standard for Occupant. Crash protection, which would specify performance requirements for protection of vehicle occupants in crashes both by systems that do and those that do not require voluntary action. The proposed standard would replace the existing Standard No.208, Seat Belt Installations.
