Samenvatting
This article deals with the research on design vehicles aimed at the collection of data on vehicles in the Netherlands. On this base a profile of design vehicles was drawn up, containing characteristics which tailor the design of provisions for road traffic. The data are being used by the ROA and RONA committees for defining guidelines on road design. The data collected also can be used for the design of various road traffic provisions within the built-up area.
