Samenvatting
To give a better base to a category classification of roads research was carried out into the relation between lane width and road safety. In this study the model of Hamerslag & Roos was used. Daily traffic flows proved to be the most important variable, followed by the presence of obstacles and intersections/crossings of various kinds.
