Samenvatting
For a quantitative comparison of the traffic pattern in ribbon villages in the rural area with different patterns in dwelling and road network, the determining characteristics for traffic of 96 small villages in the province of Groningen are collected and analyzed. A mathematical model was developed to describe the development of traffic intensities (journey/24 hours) and the traffic production (journey kilometer/24 hours) on the main roads through such villages with different variables.
