Samenvatting
In the journal Verkeerskunde, October 1979 (see B 15683 T) H.P. Heeger published an article on the design of and the progress on two demonstration projects on the rearrangement of urban areas. This contribution specifies the research programme with before-and-after-studies on five topics, viz. road safety, traffic management, socio-economic aspects, environmental impact and public space usage. Problems are discussed and a number of preliminary conclusions given.
