Samenvatting
The Programmeringsoverleg Ruimtelijk Onderzoek (PRO) aims to develop a medium-term research plan for the area of urban and regional planning. For the purpose of its plan for the years 1991-96 it has selected five themes on which to concentrate its research recommendations. This report presents the results of an exploratory study into mobility and infrastructure planning, in so far as they are relevant to urban and regional planning. PRO has selected three important aspects common to all five themes, for instance emancipation/individualization, increase in scale/internationalization and economic/technological development.
